JOB CLASSIFICATION:      First Cook

                                               

LOCATION:       Skowhegan Area Middle School                              

HOUR:                 6.5 hours per day

                              Monday – Friday

                              32.5 hours per week

                              School Year

 

 

Requirements

Skill Requirements

 

  1. High School Diploma, HiSET or greater
  2. Demonstrated ability to lift fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis
  3. Documented knowledge of program requirements & use of electronic records
  4. Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team setting
  5. Demonstrated ability in public relations techniques to promote NSLP and NSBP
  6. Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely manner
  7. Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills
  8. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes
  9. Documented knowledge of:
  • Quantity food production
  • Storage and handling techniques
  • Sanitation techniques
  • Chemical handling, SDS sheets
  • Interpreting, following and adapting recipes
  • Inventory control
  • Interpreting and maintaining HACCP compliance
  • Electronic System for Point of Service and Reporting
  1.  Documented knowledge of sanitation as designated by management
