JOB CLASSIFICATION: School Nutrition Worker- First Cook  

 

LOCATION:       North Elementary School                               

HOUR:          6.5 hours per day 

                      Monday – Friday 

                      School Year  

Requirements

 

Skill Requirements 

 

  1. High School Diploma, HiSET or greater 

  1. Demonstrated ability to lift fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis 

  1. Documented knowledge of program requirements & use of electronic records  

  1. Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team setting  

  1. Demonstrated ability in public relations techniques to promote NSLP, NSBP & CACFP 

  1. Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely manner 

  1. Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills 

  1. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes 

  1. Documented knowledge of: 

  • Quantity food production 

  • Storage and handling techniques 

  • Sanitation techniques 

  • Chemical handling, SDS sheets 

  • Interpreting, following and adapting recipes 

  • Inventory control 

  • Interpreting and maintaining HACCP compliance 

  • Electronic System for Point of Service and Reporting 

  1.  Documented knowledge of sanitation as designated by management
